Description of Kamehameha Iki Beach Park: Kamehameha Iki Beach Park is located on the south side of the historic Lahaina town. This beach is very convenient to get to and parking is very close which makes it an ideal beach for people who are not looking to have to walk far. There is a nice long stretch of sand that is ideal for sunbathing and wading into the shallow water. There are pocket of reef near the shore that you must be careful of if you get in the water and there is a large barrier reef offshore that protects the beach from the waves which makes it an ideal place to visit with family and small children. On the North end of the beach is the surf break that is known as “The Breakwall”. Breakwall is an ideal place for beginning surfers and there are many surf schools that operate here. At times you can make reservations for the surf schools on the same day, but it is generally recommended that you make your bookings at least a few days in advance, if not more.

In addition to being very easy to access from the parking area, there are also showers that are found at Kamehameha Iki Beach Park that makes coming and going from the beach an easy process. There is a small public parking lot right next to the 505 front street mall as well as free parking along Front Street. On the opposite side of the road, you will also find a large paid parking lot that normally has plenty of parking available throughout the day.
