Lahaina Guidebook

Lahaina is a special geographic location that has a great deal of historical and cultural relevance. This is why Lahaina Real Estate has been booming. The town of Lahaina was the capital city of the Hawaiian kingdom and the hub of the whaling industry. For many years whales were the main industry of the island and the hub of all economic activity that happened here. These days the whaling times are long gone and tourism is now the main industry of Lahaina. There are many sites for vacation rental investments in the Lahaina Real Estate scene and there is also an expanding amount of single family homes higher up on the hill.

“Lahaina is a very fun town to live in. It is also a great place to make money with vacation rentals.”

– Jeremy Stice, Realtor (B)

Lahaina Vacation Rentals

The historic restrictions of Lahaina have made it difficult for large resort developers to be able to construct resort properties on anything close to the scale of what you’ll find in the adjacent communities of Kaanapali or Kapalua. This has essentially created a niche for vacation rentals in Lahaina because there are not enough hotels to be able to satisfy the demand in the Lahaina Real Estate Market.
