The weather in Hana is hit or miss, there is a bit of seasonality. The summer is normally a bit less rainy than the winter, but the summer still has a significant amount of rain by most peoples standards. It’s a rainforest, so rain can be expected at some point during your stay if you’re there for any amount of time. Something to keep in mind is that when it does rain, it’s warm and normally does not last long so you don’t have to let it ruin your outdoor plans. As long as you don’t mind getting a little wet.
In addition to the small resort selection, there are many vacation rentals in Hana that you can rent if you are not dead set on the resort lifestyle. Load up a cooler of food and beverages in Kahului and make yourself at home once you get to Hana. If you’re looking for places to stay in Hana, there are some great options.
