he region of Kahului is not a place that is typically known for beaches. The mornings can be nice, but the afternoons are typically windy and less than ideal for most shoreline activities. That being said, for people who enjoy “wind-powered” activities like windsurfing or kiteboarding this part of the island is very popular. In the winter when the large waves come is the most popular time of year, if you are in the area when the wind is blowing it is worthwhile to stop by and take a few minutes to check out the action.
