Napili Beaches

Napili beaches are some of the gems of West Maui. Depending on the season there are multiple activities that you can partake in here. Surfing can be great in the winter, the snorkeling is great when the waves are flat and the sunbathing is great (most of the time).

Something that you need to be aware of about the Napili beaches is that they are not as accessible as many of the other beaches on the island. There is quite a bit of development, the beaches are not visible from the road and the parking is very limited so it’s best to do your homework and take a look at the map before you depart to avoid any issues if you don’t immediately find a place to park and need to circle around for a few minutes. Another thing to keep in mind is that many beaches in Napili DO NOT have a lifeguard so please be careful to avoid getting into any dangerous situations where you would need a lifeguard’s help.

Kapalua Beach – Honokeana Cove

By | Napili Beaches, West Maui Beaches | No Comments

Honokeana Cove is a small beach located in Kapalua. The beach is covered in pebbles and round rocks. The beach doesn’t get a lot of visitors because of its small size and the rocks that cover it. However, it is a great place to unwind and have a relaxing swim. The waters here are usually calm but it can get rough when the tide is high. Honokeana Cove is a great place to snorkel because it is frequented by Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles.
