This beach is considered by many to be the best one in Maui. The Makena Beach is similar to the Kamaole Beach Park 1 since it is two beaches in 1. Aptly named, Little beach and Big Beach. The bigger of the two, Big Beach, is close to a two thirds of a mile long with clean golden sand. This place is great for swimming and sunbathing. The smaller one, Little Beach, is a nude beach. Being nude on a Maui beach is illegal but the authorities rarely exercise this rule. Although be warned that the people who take of their clothes here are do so at their own risk.
